Crafted from the Porter & Harding Glenroyal range, this tan sports coat is a wonderfully characterful cloth with a distinctly British feel. Though not a limited final length like the others in the collection, we felt it far too good to overlook. The warm tan ground gives the coat its sporting character, while the blue overcheck adds just the right note of refinement, allowing it to dress up beautifully and pair with an especially wide range of garments.
It is this balance that makes the cloth so appealing. The tan base brings warmth, texture and country charm, while the blue check gives it definition and versatility, helping it sit just as comfortably with shirt and tie as it does with more relaxed combinations. Worn with flannels, cavalry twills, corduroys or denim, it is the sort of sports coat that feels easy, useful and full of personality.
Cut in our signature house style, the coat features a 3-roll-2 front, gently slanted pockets with a flapped out ticket pocket, side vents and a working lapel hole with flower loop detail. As you would expect from Redmayne, it is fully canvassed with a lightweight structure, designed to mould naturally to the wearer over time. The result is a soft drape and clean silhouette, equally suited to informal business wear, a weekend lunch or an evening engagement.
This is a cloth with all the charm of a traditional British sports coat, but with enough depth and versatility to make it exceptionally easy to wear.
